Country profiles: Dundtel province & B'Shara

Dundtel province is a mostly coastal province with lots of rocks and poor soil, where chickens outnumber people 10:1. It's ethnically kind of boring with 99% of the population Dundtelian and 1% Ledtelian (Ledtelians are from the bordering Ledtel province). This province has been a peaceful backwater for as long as it has been a part of B'Shara.

Dundtel coast

The Dundtel chicken industry is world famous and employs over 95% of the working population of Dundtel. Transportation is limited to horses and wagons and an occasional steamboat that can be seen in Dundtel's only major river the Plon. The provincial capital is Plindt. This is the only city in Dundtel with more than 10,000 people. Overall, Plindt smells like damp chicken feathers nearly year-round and therefore does not have a booming tourist industry.

B’Shara has 7 provinces, all of which are lightly populated and each one specializes on just one type of agricultural product or another. The provinces are:
Dundtel - main export chicken and chicken related items.
Ledtel - main export is pigs.
Fwindtel - main export is wheat and bread.
Dzarman - main export is dairy products.
Chezoznim - main export is grapes and wine.
Nemz - main export is cattle and goats.
Shara - main export is horses (no, not to eat)

Originally, each province was it's own country, but the country of Shara conquered them nearly 150 years ago and renamed the conquered lands B'Shara which translates to "owned/conquered by Shara". Nearly 100 years ago, after a period of unrest by the people that had been conquered, each former country was turned into semi-autonomous province. Each province does honor and obey the king and queen of B'Shara, but they also have their own elected council that passes local laws.[img][/img][img][/img][center]ty

Are these places next to each other? How large are they?

B'Shara is the name of the country, Dundtel is one of it's seven provinces or states. Hope that clears that up. I don't have names for the other provinces yet. As far as size...hmm. Somewhere in the Australia/Brazil size for all of B'Shara, Dundtel will only be a smallish part of that. Also, not sure where they are in regards to Archen. Looks like I have some more thinkin' to do on this. I may sketch out a rough map, scan it in and post it. That might be the way to go.
