I guess it should at least be close to Archen...just makes sense that some of the characters come from the region.

Well, I guess we'll have to wait a little more anyway, Spike doesn't have his second character yet (I'm regretting that I volunteered to only write one profile right now - getting impatient! But that's alright, I guess.)
But this does bring us to another question - who's going to write the first paragraph, anyway? We'll have to choose somebody.

Mnes = Spider killer! That's good to know. I have a personal dislike for centipedes, however, not spiders.
Mal = Spiderman? You need to get yourself a bat or perhaps a cat to take care of those pesky bugs.
Zaranda = my dream girl? Eh...not 'zactly...I mean, she's far from perfect. Besides, I haven't yet completed her profile. Most notable, her weaknesses.

So, other than spikey's new character and mnes' Savv that need to be created, the other profiles are nearly complete. Is there anything else we really need? I was still going to get around to sketching out a quick map of Dundtel and B'Shara, but I could extend that to the rest of the region...like Archen and...Mal, where exactly is Qumar in relation to Archen? Well, it can be a rough sketch, nothing in stone if y'all don't dig it.

I was beginning to kick around ideas for a starting paragraph, but what I have so far isn't all that grand. In other words, if someone's got what they believe is a cool start, go for it.

A bat? That would only increase the problem, since what I hate the most about them is them flying around at night all the time, disturbing my sleep. And I guess you can't keep a bat in a cage at night.

Qumar should be to the south of Archen, I guess. Not too far away, but far enough to explain the difference in the climates. And about the starting paragraph...I feel pretty much the same way. I did give it some thought, but I don't really have anything right now. I guess I could do it, if nobody else volunteers, but anybody else would be fine, too.

We have a map! Not the best...just needed a basic one to get going. Can easily change as needed. Also, explained Zaranda's monotheistic monks she traveled with before joining the thief-takers. As Mal said, lengthy chat...much about the religion of Archen and what to do for an opening scene/paragraph.

I'm halfway there for the second character. However, since I don't intend for her (yes, another woman) to be involved initially, there is no reason for us to make a little start.
I'm all fer making the opening piece if ye want....

As you can see in chat, Obs seems to be willing to do that now. I only see one reasonable way to resolve this, really - a fight to the death! *grabs himself some popcorn*

Alternatively, I can just let him get on with it.... Sorry to disappoint, but I still need to get some more missions done.

All of the starting characters laid out, mythology almost done, a few cities added...I guess we're pretty much ready to start?

Just a thought - are the main characters going to be all together to begin with or do they sort of drift together?

Pretty much answered in the chat, I think...they're slowly coming together at the same spot.

lol - Ralkin is in a semi-permanent state of 'pissed-off'. I'm writing his little opener at the mo. It doesn't affect owt else, so don't sweat it.

So, the question now is....who is going second?

Is like that - was talking to Mnes on ICQ, she said she wanted to put something up. Then she saw that Spike wanted to post, and decided to wait. I told her that I interpreted Spike's words in a way that meant that we could already post because his post only included Ralkin, so she said she'd ask him about that. Which apparently hasn't happened yet.

Correct on both counts - Mnes hasn't asked me AND she can go ahead, because I intend Ralkin to be doing something on his own for a few posts.
I thought it would be better to have some way of showing how they all get together.

I think overall, we don't need to have anyone's storyline intersect with others until they actually get to Tajemnica. If it happens earlier, no big deal, but this will give us all time to build up our characters before interacting with everyone.

There's some nice little touches in there; the one type of statue always being mucky, the leather pouch for the darts - and I have to say that's brilliant way of using her ability!
